  • In Search of Matisse opens the fall season at Henie Onstad Kunstsenter

    Looting of cultural heritage and artworks is addressed in exhibition Famous artworks by Pablo Picasso, Pierre Bonnard, and Henri Matisse are juxtaposed with new work from such contemporary artists as Michael Rakowitz, Céline Condorelli, Dag Erik Elgin, Marianne Heier, and Matts Leiderstam when Henie Onstad Kunstsenter (HOK) launches its fall exhibition season with In Search of Matisse.

    As part of its commitment to the production of contemporary art, Henie Onstad Kunstsenter (HOK) has commissioned a new work by Danish artist Lea Porsager: FOOD FOR THE MOON — Sluggish and Well-lubricated, 2013. Porsager was one of the youngest artists represented at Documenta in Kassel last year. Porsagers intallation is presented in a solo exhibition from October 25, through February 16 2014.
