Personal injury specialist strengthens law firm team 

A leading West Midlands law firm, Higgs & Sons, has strengthened its service to clients with the appointment of personal injury law specialist Steven Santy.

The Brierley Hill based firm's dedicated personal injury & clinical negligence team is recognised by The Law Society's Clinical Negligence Panel, the Association of Personal Injury Lawyers and also holds a managerial role in the Motor Accident Solicitors Society.

Steven qualified as a Fellow of The Institute of Legal Executives in 2002 and brings extensive experience of pursuing and defending civil actions in the County Court, High Court and Court of Appeal.

Speaking of his appointment, Steven said: "I am delighted to join Higgs & Sons and look forward to playing my part in ensuring the continued success of the firm.  The Personal Injury & Clinical Negligence department is well-established under the leadership of Ian Shovlin and I'm looking forward to helping grow the team going forward."

Steven also specialises in clinical negligence and has acted on behalf of both claimants and defendants in this area. He has represented medical professionals in defamation proceedings, defence of civil actions, assisting the Coroner's Court in inquest proceedings and handling enquiries instigated by the General Medical Council.

He has proven track record in cases involving employers' liability, occupiers liability, public liability, motor accidents and criminal injuries compensation, as well as expertise in dealing with cases involving, death, brain injury, industrial disease, severe psychological injury and loss of limb.

Steven lives in Bromsgrove with his wife and two children and, in his spare time, enjoys following Aston Villa and whenever possible, the England cricket team.
