Hitachi adds two new models to its market leading range of Short and Ultra Short Throw LCD projectors
Hitachi introduces new upgraded Short and Ultra Short Throw models
- Enhanced performance: Both models offer improved brightness and contrast ratios, making them ideal for multimedia applications in bright education and commercial environments
- Improved installation: Unique to Hitachi, Perfect Fit 2.0 on the CP-A200 offers line as well as corner adjustment during installation to correct any image distortions due to uneven surfaces
- Reduced environmental footprint: Energy efficient Hitachi projectors reduce energy consumption and environmental impact during manufacturing, distribution and operation
- Greater choice: Meeting the varied needs to customers with a broad range of Short and Ultra Short Throw models with a performance capability to match every application
Award winning projector family now offers more choice and new levels of performance
Hitachi Digital Media Group announces the CP-D20 and CP-A200 models as additions to the groundbreaking and highly successful Short and Ultra Short Throw range of LCD projectors. Improvements for these new models, as requested by customers, have focused around performance in bright operating environments including classrooms, to ensure comfortable usage for both presenters and audiences. The new models also benefit from some of the latest Hitachi developments in terms of usability, reduced total cost of ownership and reduced environmental impact.
“In line with our continued commitment to cater for a range of requirements in this exciting sector of the market, these two models offer new levels of performance for use in education and other applications where bright environments are common,” said Axel Kutschke, Senior Manager, Presentation Products for Hitachi Digital Media Group.
Because of the Short Throw capability of these models the risk of visual interference is massively reduced as the presenter never gets in front of the projection. At the same time the brighter image also ensures comfortable viewing for the audience even in high ambient light.
Both of the models also include all of the latest Hitachi features to ensure the projectors are easy to use, offer low total cost ownership and minimise impact on the environment.
- Template feature - providing lines and grids that teachers find particularly useful when writing on blackboards and whiteboards.
- Audio Pass Through - allows audio signals to be directed to external speakers even when the projector is in stand-by mode, saving energy and improving lamp life.
- Hybrid Filter - extends maintenance intervals to 4000 hours during a normal usage cycle, saving time and money.
- Perfect Fit 2.0 (CP-A200 only) - doubles the number of correction points of the previous version and offers a comprehensive adjustment capability to ensure a perfect image on interactive whiteboards or even uneven surfaces.
- Eco-friendly - as part of the steps Hitachi is taking to minimise environmental impact both models have a reduced power stand-by mode. This operates at 5W or less for the CP-A200 and 1W or less for the CP-D20. In other areas carton sizes have been significantly reduced, which means that twice as many projectors can be shipped in a single journey, so minimising transport footprint. Packaging boxes are now also made of 100% recyclable materials.
The new CP-D20 offers additional choice to customers in terms of capability and performance. At 2700 lumens, the new model is brighter as well as offering an improved contrast ratio of 600:1. The new model also features the shortest throw distance in the non-mirror range; for an 80” (2.02M) screen, the throw distance is only 81cm from lens to screen, an improvement of over 12cm or 13% compared to the already impressive CP-D10. By improving brightness and contrast performance at the same time, the CP-D20 is ideally suited to applications in classrooms and elsewhere involving rich multimedia content.
The CP-A200 also offers a host of significant performance enhancements to the existing range. While Ultra Short Throw performance remains the same as the award winning CP-A100 and ED-A101/111 models, brightness has been improved to 3000 lumens.
The projectors are currently available across Europe with a comprehensive range of warranty options available on top of the basic three year warranty that is included as standard.
