IAM RoadSmart responds to Scottish Government's National Speed Management Review
Commenting on the Scottish Government's response to the National Speed Management Review, IAM RoadSmart Director of Policy and Standards Nicholas Lyes said: “Reducing the national speed limit on single carriageways potentially risked increasing dangerous overtaking manoeuvres on many of Scotland’s rural roads so we are pleased that the Scottish Government has stepped back from this measure. Instead, we would support targeted, localised speed limit reductions based on collisions data.”
