Isansys Lifecare named as one of the UK’s top digital health exporters

Isansys Lifecare has been named as one of the UK’s top digital health exporters by Healthcare UK, part of the Department for International Trade.

In Healthcare UK’s new Digital Health Playbook, Isansys has been acclaimed as one of the ‘First 100 companies’ in the country being able to address many of the challenges facing global healthcare today and in the future.

It states that Isansys, which has developed the Patient Status Engine (PSE), a smart clinical data collection, analysis and prediction platform, is “able to help healthcare providers realise their dream of accessing affordable and sustainable care which not only serves their current needs but enables them to build the basis for the healthcare of the future: personalised, digital by default and truly patient centric.”

The ‘First 100 companies’ were selected after a rigorous process based on a range of criteria including how committed they were to export and international expansion, the global uniqueness of their innovation, a track-record of working collaboratively with Healthcare UK, their responsiveness, and how well they represent the UK journey and direction in digital health, particularly with the NHS.

Noel Gordon, chair, Healthcare UK, NHS, said: “I am delighted that Healthcare UK has developed this playbook for some of the best British innovation in digital health and care. They have been instrumental in some incredibly exciting technology-based initiatives, which have supported us through Covid and also the largest transformation in Europe in both the public and private sector. Many of these firms are working closely with our National Health Service (NHS) making a huge difference to treatment, prevention and care across our whole population. They represent immense promise and potential and many are already collaborating on a global scale.”

Keith Errey, CEO of Isansys, said: “It’s great that Isansys has been recognised by Healthcare UK in this way. The Patient Status Engine is available for both in-hospital and the remote monitoring of patients which is helping shift the paradigm from reactive to proactive care while moving patients from high-cost hospital environments to lower cost, safer and less stressful community and home-based settings. This allows providers to reduce risk, costs, readmissions, and demand on the health system. It also improves the patient experience and empowers teams to safely monitor, manage and engage patients at home.

“The work we are doing with hospitals and healthcare providers both in the UK and internationally is very much the future of patient monitoring and accurate real-world data collection and is making a significant difference to not only healthcare professionals but to the lives of their patients and their families as well.”

The Patient Status Engine integrates clinical wearable sensors and predictive analytics into a fully certified medical device and a complete end-to-end wireless platform. Automatically collecting and analysing patients’ vital sign data in real time, the PSE enables doctors and nurses to see, at a glance, if a person’s health is deteriorating. This means healthcare teams can effectively see into the future, hours or even days before an event occurs, allowing them to take early preventative action and reducing adverse events and improving a patient’s chance of recovery.
