Iveco is the European leader in the design and construction of innovative vehicles driven by Compressed Natural Gas, known as “methane”. Iveco has used methane since 1998. It was able to launch low emission vehicles as early as 2005 and is still one of the few manufacturers able to offer a standard production methane engine that does not require any subsequent modifications, with all advantages.

Supplied by Dagenham Motors, the Iveco heavy trucks replace three older vehicles in a 15-strong commercial vehicle fleet and will be used for a combination of general haulage and night-time trunking.

    With a first, second and sixth place in the overall truck ranking, Iveco dominated the 33rd Dakar, the world's most important rally, where most of the European and Asian Truck OEMs participated. The Petronas De Rooy Iveco team won the rally with the Dutchman Gerard De Rooy, driving an Iveco Powerstar, a vehicle produced and sold by Iveco in Australia.
