There are many temples and shrines  which have a connection with Ii Family and Hikone Domain.

It will be good to go on a pilgrimage.

13 shrines and temples which connect with Ii Family

  1. Daishi-ji Temple: Kobo in front of Hikone Station.
  2. Chiyo-jinja Shrine: Wish for advancement in art field
  3. Hikone Buddha Saifuku-ji Temple: Wish for safe birth and bear for children.
  4. Souan-ji Temple: An accommodation where a high official of Korean envoy stayed in the Edo preiod.
  5. Tenman-gu Kitano-jinja Shrine: The god of academic.
  6. Umoregi-no-ya: A school where Naosuke Ii studied.
  7. Gokoku-jinja Shrine in Shiga Prefecture: The shrine which symbols love and peace.
  8. Ohorabenzaiten Choju-in Temple: Wish for success in business.
  9. Ryotan-ji Temple: A temple which has a beautiful garden.
  10. Taga-taisya Shrine: Wish for long life and matchmaking.
  11. Konpira-gu Jigen-ji Temple: Konpira-gu Shrine at Noda Mountain.

    1. Fast course 90 minutes: 6,500yen (Normal fare 9,000yen)
    2. Slow course 180 minutes: 11,000yen (Normal fare 18,000yen)
