BIM Level 2 – New assessment collection that will help companies demonstrate their individual and organisational BIM capability

KnowledgeSmart, a mature cloud-based online skills assessment service provider, announced today the release of a brand-new collection of online skill assessments aimed at helping companies demonstrate individual and organisational BIM capability, as they transition to meet the BIM Level 2 mandate.

The BIM Level 2 mandate defines the process of design to construction, and through to handover, of any project centrally procured by the UK government. The need to capture helpful, relevant and accurate metrics around BIM capability is now more compelling than ever.

According to the NBS National BIM Report 2017, it is essential that designers have the skills they need to work effectively with BIM. But as Lord Kelvin, the Scots-Irish mathematical physicist and engineer said, "if you cannot measure it, you cannot improve it".

The awareness of the requirement for the management and exchange of information between supply chain members and clients as described in the 1192 suite of standards

Information Validation and Project Review as far as BIM Software Authoring is concerned

Level of integration of basic concepts of BIM Software Coordination, for firms using Autodesk Revit and Bentley AECOsim'
