Success with Lesjöfors springs in international student race

Annually, Chalmers University of Technology in Gothenburg participates in an international race car competition, Formula Student, where 75 European universities are involved. Students are given the task to build a race car for student competitions all over Europe. The vehicles are judged in various areas and a winner is selected within each category.

Top 3 in Germany for the Chalmers team

In the UK competition, the Chalmers race car reached top six in the design category. In the subsequent contest in Germany the car was fine-tuned and could boast an honorable third place in the overall competition. This is a very good quality sign for future engineers who graduate from the Automotive Engineering program at Chalmers.

Bespoke springs from Lesjöfors

Lesjöfors Industrifjädrar in Herrljunga has for many years sponsored the Chalmers team with custom-made chassis springs.

"It's inspiring to be involved in the development of new products together with future engineers who often think outside the box and question things in a new way. Furthermore, the development of an advanced product with limited budget means that Lesjöfors as a sponsor is an important key to success", says Niklas Movitz, Key Account Manager at Lesjöfors Industrifjädrar.
