Lesjöfors China expands

Lesjöfors is steadily growing in the Chinese market. Both traditional springs and strip components have met increased demand. The increased volumes have resulted in a strengthened organization, investments in additional manufacturing capacity and new production technology.

Lesjöfors focus on China has proved to be very timely. A strong demand for springs and strip components has opened up opportunities for further investments in production and sales in the country.

Increased capacity and flexibility
In 2011, the production area at Lesjöfors´ manufacturing unit in Changzhou has been extended from 26.000 to 65.000 square feet. The new spring factory, where springs from 0.5 up to 3 mm are produced, is now in full production. Press capacity has doubled and now everything from small, manual presses up to 110-ton automatic presses can be offered. The capacity and expertise in laser technology such as laser welding and laser marking has also been expanded.

Complete spring supplier also in China*
The new Investments mean that a major technical competence has been built up and Lesjöfors is ready to support new and existing customers. The China Division also offers the entire range of the Lesjöfors Group´s assortment through trading from sister companies and is therefore a local supplier of all Lesjöfors´ products.
