Lindab receives prestigious Eurovent certification

The market-leading circular duct systems Lindab Safe and Lindab Safe Click have been certified for strength and leakage according to the toughest tightness class D by Eurovent.

Lindab is the first company in Europe to receive such a certificate for a duct system from the renowned organisation.

The certification is an acknowledgement of Lindab as a leading provider of modern indoor climate solutions, but also a milestone that will hopefully raise the overall standard of production in the ventilation industry”, says Torbjörn Bruzelius, Strategic Product Manager for Lindab Group.

Buildings are responsible for 40 per cent of all energy consumption in the EU member states. In any building, ventilation usually constitutes approximately 30 per cent of the total energy consumption.

Lindab Safe and Lindab Safe Click, which meet the highest standard of airtightness, have been the circular duct systems of choice on the market for several years. Now they are also the first duct systems to be certified by Eurovent, a renowned organisation and issuer of certification in several sectors and industries across Europe.

Several of Lindab’s production sites were tested throughout 2017 before the certification was issued. The process, which involved essential parts of Lindab, will now become an integrated part of the duct system production.

The certification serves as a reminder that high-standard ventilation solutions are a necessity if we are to reduce energy consumption and minimize the strain on the environment, but it is also an acknowledgement of the impressive knowledge and skills that the people who work here possess.
