DRV Clinic Highlights a Shift Towards More Natural-Looking Male Aesthetic Treatments in London

London, UK – August 2026 – DRV Clinic in Central London is highlighting a shift in male aesthetics, with more men seeking subtle improvements to facial structure rather than heavily sculpted or exaggerated results.

Male aesthetic treatments have traditionally focused on creating a stronger jawline, more projected chin or sharper facial angles. While these remain common goals, DRV Clinic says treatment planning is becoming more individualised, with greater attention paid to facial proportions and how the chin, jawline, nose and mid-face work together.

At the clinic, facial masculinisation treatments are planned according to the patient's existing anatomy rather than following a standard formula for what a masculine face should look like.

Razvan Vasilas of DRV Clinic explains:

"Men often come into consultation asking for a stronger jawline, but the jawline is not always the area that needs the most attention. Sometimes improving chin projection or overall facial balance can make a much greater difference to the profile."

"The aim should not be to make every male patient look square or excessively defined. Good treatment should still look natural and suit the person's own features."

Looking Beyond the Jawline

The lower face has become an important area within male aesthetics, particularly for patients who feel that their chin or jaw lacks definition.

However, simply adding dermal filler along the jawline does not necessarily create better facial proportions.

DRV Clinic assesses factors such as chin projection, jaw angle, facial width, nose prominence and the transition between the lower face and neck before recommending treatment.

A patient with a mildly recessed chin, for example, may benefit more from targeted chin enhancement than extensive jawline filler. In other cases, a combined approach may provide greater balance.

DRV Clinic recently outlined these differences in its guide comparing jawline filler and chin filler, explaining why the two treatments should not automatically be considered interchangeable.

Subtle Results Becoming More Important

According to DRV Clinic, many male patients now place particular importance on discretion.

Rather than wanting a dramatic transformation, they may ask for a slightly stronger side profile, improved lower-face definition or better symmetry while still looking recognisably like themselves.

This has encouraged a more conservative approach to filler placement.

Over-treatment of the jawline can create excessive width or an unnaturally heavy lower face, while excessive chin projection can disrupt the relationship between the chin, lips and nose.

For suitable patients, facial masculinisation in London may therefore involve a combination of treatments rather than focusing on one feature in isolation.

Vasilas adds:

"The consultation is where we decide whether treatment will actually improve the patient's proportions. Sometimes less product produces the better result, and sometimes the right recommendation is not to treat a particular area at all."

Individual Treatment Planning at DRV Clinic

DRV Clinic believes the increasing interest in male aesthetics reflects a wider change in attitudes towards cosmetic treatment.

Men are becoming more comfortable discussing facial balance, ageing and appearance, but their treatment objectives can vary significantly.

DRV Clinic therefore assesses each patient individually, taking into account facial anatomy, previous treatments, medical history and realistic treatment expectations before recommending a procedure.
