Playinnovation and 4Global recognise unsung community sport heroes through support for London Sport Awards 2023

London Sport is delighted to welcome Playinnovation and 4Global to a growing roster of organisations showing their support for community sport and physical activity, through sponsoring the London Sport Awards.

The London Sport Awards, supported by the City of London Corporation, are the biggest celebration of the capital’s unsung heroes who are helping Londoners lead healthier, happier, and more active lives.

Each year, a collection of incredible individuals and organisations are recognised for their outstanding work in helping Londoners to be more physically active.

A global provider of innovative and inclusive sport and play areas, Playinnovation have come on board as Official Partner of the London Sport Awards, returning for its seventh edition on March 23rd. Through the new collaboration, all ten category winners of the London Sport Awards will receive an interactive gaming product from Playinnovation, such as Street Snooker or Goal Master, worth up to £1,600, alongside their award.

International sports technology brand 4Global are joining as sponsors of the Community Impact Award category which recognises grassroots sport clubs, groups, teams and projects delivering great impact to the wider community. Last year the Award was won by Carneys Community, a charity targeting disadvantaged groups, using a combination of boxing and long term, consistent, unconditional support. With over 100 nominations received for this year’s Community Impact Award, this is one of the most highly coveted categories.

Thanks to the generous support of the City of London Corporation, the London Sport Awards ceremony will once again be held at the prestigious Guildhall in March.

Commenting on the new partnership, Marco Boi, Founder of Playinnovation said:

“We feel immensely proud to play a part in the London Sport Awards as together we strive towards the common goal of creating a healthy and active city.

There are some truly inspirational organisations involved, who make a clear difference to so many communities on a daily basis. It is paramount that we support them and champion their achievements.”

Chris Philips, Account Director at 4Global said:

“At 4Global we value the power of collaborative partnerships that help drive the sport and physical activity agenda forward, and we’re proud of the part we’ve played in widening sports participation in the capital which dates back to the legacy we built at the London 2012 Olympics.

Our partnership with London Sport sees the use of sector wide data being converted into actionable insight on the ground. This helps the growth and health of the communities in most need across London, harnessing the power of sport and technology to deliver an active future.”

Tanya Rabin, Director of Commercial, Marketing and Communications at London Sport said:
