Mabanaft and Hapag-Lloyd sign MoU to evaluate options for the supply of ammonia as bunker fuel

Mabanaft GmbH & Co. KG and Hapag-Lloyd AG have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to evaluate options for the supply of ammonia as bunker fuel to Hapag-Lloyd in and around the Port of Hamburg, Germany and also the Port of Houston, Texas, USA.

Management changes at Oiltanking Deutschland

Reza Adami will assume role of managing director of Oiltanking Deutschland GmbH & Co. KG and Oiltanking Hungary Kft on 1st January 2023. He succeeds Sven Thiessen, who will leave the company after more than 10 years. Martin Olszewski assumed the role of managing director of Oiltanking Waltershof GmbH & Co. KG on 1st December 2022.

New Managing Director of Petronord

Lennard Schneider will assume the role of Managing Director of Petronord GmbH & Co. KG on 1st December 2022 and head up the newly established Energy Distribution unit. He succeeds Volker Tiedemann, who built up and expanded the Petronord Group, and successfully managed it for more than 21 years.

Air Products and Mabanaft Plan to Build Large-Scale Green Energy Import Terminal in Hamburg

Mabanaft alongside its customer and project partner Air Products today announced a major project, with the aim to re-purpose part of the Blumensand terminal and develop an adjoining site, creating Hamburg’s and Germany’s first large scale green energy import terminal.

The Next Gate – Pioneering demonstration project in Hamburg

On September 14, 2022, H&R inaugurated the new Power-to-Liquids (PtL) demonstration plant at the production site of Ölwerke Schindler GmbH. is one of the world’s first PtL concepts on a technical scale, supplying so-called eFuels as well as synthetic raw waxes, which will be marketed via the P2X-Europe joint venture of the two partner companies Mabanaft and H&R.
