Mabanaft announces its role as a founding member of the newly launched TransHyDE 2.0 initiative, which aims to advance the development of a robust European hydrogen infrastructure. The initiative will officially launch on 6th May 2025 in Berlin.
Since the beginning of the year, Mabanaft has worked closely with its partner Skytanking to ensure safe and timely operations for its customers at Frankfurt Airport. Key milestones so far this year include the successful start-up of fuel deliveries to customers Singapore Airlines and Lufthansa Group.
Mabanaft and HIF Global have signed an agreement to enhance e-Methanol adoption in the shipping sector, committing to an initial offtake of up to 100,000 tons annually. This collaboration aims to transition to cleaner fuels and boost maritime sustainability.
Mabanaft is developing a hydrogen refuelling station for trucks in Lübeck, aimed at enhancing the hydrogen economy in transport. Scheduled for late 2025, it will support heavy goods vehicles and will have a capacity of up to 2,000 kilograms hydrogen per day.

Oiltanking Deutschland, the Mabanaft Group's storage division, has signed an agreement to acquire BP Europa SE's tank terminal in Kassel. With the acquisition, Oiltanking Deutschland will expand its portfolio to a total of twelve domestic locations. The storage facility offers the Mabanaft Group the opportunity to supply its customers in the greater Kassel region with liquid fuels.
Mabanaft has signed an agreement with Hapag-Lloyd to supply 1,000 tonnes of B30 biofuel in Hamburg, aiming to reduce greenhouse gas emissions in shipping. This initiative marks a significant step to enhance biofuel availability in the port.
