"It's a beautiful day!". Marcel's largest landscape painting to hit the Kings Road in Chelsea, London

Marcel Schreur, the original Dutch artist, saw his largest works to date on the wall of Gagliardi Gallery on the Kings Road in Chelsea, London. He says "After working on them for months it was an epic moment to see these works in the right light and a good wall space." These unique and absorbing works were very well received. On show from this week in the oldest contemporary art gallery in London.

The artist has been working on large works all summer. His expressive and detailed way of painting and the use of vast amounts of oil paint slows the preparation down and he had to wait patiently. Something that he has mastered over the years.

He named his latest abstract work, also on show in Chelsea. "Life Is Beautiful" after the video that was released a few weeks ago in reaction on Brittany Maynard's decision to end her life and suffering prematurely. Marcel, a cancer veteran, felt compelled to react on Brittany and others in similar situations with an inspiring and hopeful message. Watch here if you have missed this deeply moving video.

His art is full of colour, vibrancy and movement' spreading joy and hope. Deeply inspired by his past of suffering and pain he is now found a way of saying "Life is beautiful. Always"
