Hello my friend!! A painting depicting our tendency to look at somebody in a materialistic way, losing sight of reality. Touching upon the bankingscandal and financial crisis.

Artist Mas.s is again touching upon a hot topic in society. He says "The economic crisis, the banking scandals the public lying are all rooted in greed and envy. It happens because there is no moral obligation to tell the truth any more, starting often with lying to oneself. Honesty and courage are the pillars underneath someone's life and society at large. It is also the most difficult task, for ever challenged."

He has depicted this theme in a colourful and fresh way. He depicted two characters on the beach.The character on the left talking to his newly found "friend" on the beach. Talking to him and looking him in the eye. Not really listening. The other eye and ear are  scanning his real points of interest.   It is depicting status, jealousy, envy, greed, hidden anger, pride, double agendas etc. The colours Green and yellow are symbolic.
The other character, Mas.s says "is loaded. top heavy, high blood pressure and a little mixed up also.The sun is going down on both of them and the time is running out". Mas.s says "The air is always bluer on the other side of the fence. We do not really want to be on either side of it."

So true fo the current situation in the financial world. Mas.s says "Everybody knows that people are lying to eachother, people know it is wrong but society has manouvred itself in a state of acceptance, following the root of this evil called money." He goes on "Honesty, integrity and courage does not have a say anymore, instead we are spectators of a surreal show of power, arrogance, lying and bluff." "It happens" He says  "simply because they can, they will probably tell each other in relative secrecy, "Who is going to stop us".
