    The MB Energy group has reached a further milestone in its commitment to invest in the development of a more sustainable hydrogen infrastructure. The company has signed an agreement, effective 1st January 2026, to purchase a hydrogen refuelling station in Neumünster.

  • MB Energy inaugurates Hydrogen Refuelling Station for trucks in Lübeck

    On 29th January, the MB Energy group celebrated a key achievement in its commitment to develop a viable hydrogen infrastructure: the inauguration of its hydrogen refuelling station for heavy duty vehicles (HDVs) in Lübeck. The official opening was attended by key customers, partners and other stakeholders, including Jan Lindenau, Mayor of the Hanseatic City of Lübeck.

  • Onroute Celebrates Grand Opening of Swindon Truckstop

    Onroute Truckstops Ltd, a provider of high-quality truckstop facilities across the UK, and part of the MB Energy group, celebrated the Grand Opening of its newly refurbished Swindon Truckstop on 16th January.

  • UK fuel card company Silvey Fleet launches in France

    The MB Energy Group’s UK-based fuel card and fleet management solutions provider Silvey Fleet has launched in France. As part of MB Energy’s Commercial Road Transport division, Silvey Fleet’s solutions and services perfectly complement the wide network of automated filling stations for commercial fleets, which MB Energy operates across Europe.

  • MB Energy receives building permit for Hydrogen Refuelling Station for trucks in Lübeck

    MB Energy has reached another key milestone in its commitment to invest in the development of sustainable hydrogen infrastructure: following the receipt of the operating permit, the company has now also secured the building permit for its planned hydrogen refuelling station for HDVs in Lübeck. Construction is set to begin immediately, with commissioning targeted for the end of 2025.

  • Mabanaft expands aviation fuel supply to airlines at Frankfurt Airport

    Since the beginning of the year, Mabanaft has worked closely with its partner Skytanking to ensure safe and timely operations for its customers at Frankfurt Airport. Key milestones so far this year include the successful start-up of fuel deliveries to customers Singapore Airlines and Lufthansa Group.

  • Mabanaft plans hydrogen refuelling station for trucks in Lübeck

    Mabanaft is developing a hydrogen refuelling station for trucks in Lübeck, aimed at enhancing the hydrogen economy in transport. Scheduled for late 2025, it will support heavy goods vehicles and will have a capacity of up to 2,000 kilograms hydrogen per day.

  • Mabanaft and TUI Cruises sign MoU for the supply of methanol

    German energy company Mabanaft has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with cruise operator TUI Cruises to supply green methanol. The partnership aims to make the cruise industry more climate-friendly, starting with a methanol delivery for the Mein Schiff 7. TUI Cruises plans to add more methanol-ready cruise ships to its fleet in Germany.

  • Mabanaft expands footprint in Northwest Europe by acquiring WESTFA Energy GmbH

    Mabanaft GmbH & Co. KG, a leading independent and integrated energy company headquartered in Hamburg, announced today that it has signed an agreement to acquire 100% of the shares in WESTFA Energy GmbH, including all its subsidiaries and shareholdings, from Adeleon Familienholding GmbH, formerly WESTFA Holding GmbH. The deal is subject to necessary merger clearance authority approvals.

  • Mabanaft and Lechner Racing enter into long-term partnership to reduce carbon emissions

    Mabanaft and Lechner Racing enter into a partnership during which Mabanaft will support the decarbonisation of Lechner Racing’s road transport vehicles. For this, Mabanaft will provide Renewable Diesel and Voluntary Emissions Reduction certificates (VERs) to Lechner Racing. The partnership agreement covers the Porsche Supercup seasons 2023–2025.

  • New Managing Director of Petronord

    Lennard Schneider will assume the role of Managing Director of Petronord GmbH & Co. KG on 1st December 2022 and head up the newly established Energy Distribution unit. He succeeds Volker Tiedemann, who built up and expanded the Petronord Group, and successfully managed it for more than 21 years.

    Florian Hausen will assume the role of Managing Director of OIL! Tankstellen on 11th July 2022. He succeeds Robert Kurtze, who is leaving the company after five years.

  • Power-to-liquids production at the Hamburg H&R location is picking up speed

    Mabanaft and H&R, together with technology partner INERATEC, are setting the next milestone in the production of specialty chemical products and e-fuels from renewable raw materials. The production and marketing of synthesis-based e-fuels and waxes from renewable raw materials at the Hamburg site is set to start soon.
