BlackBerry Curve Touch Marks a New Era for Research in Motion

Even though BlackBerry is a premium mobile phone manufacturer, every single model that they are about to release will be leaked online months before the exact launch date of the phone. It is the condition that will be once again repeating with the launch of the Blackberry Curve Touch, which is the phone that is going to be announced officially by BlackBerry within a few months. The Blackberry Curve Touch will be a touchscreen phone. Unlike many other BlackBerry phones, it will be the only form of control to the user interface. This is the interesting aspect about this BlackBerry phones and this will finally represent a shift in focus towards the entertainment aspect of the mobile phones as well from BlackBerry. Previously, the phone segment that the company has been solely focusing in has been the business segment, but the Blackberry Curve Touch will be the new-age phone from BlackBerry.

The Blackberry Curve Touch will be coming with a touch screen display that is rumoured to measure around 3.25 inches in size. Even though the exact technology that is being used in the touch screen display has not been revealed, it is expected that the technology with respect to the screen is expected to be minimum. However, it will be coming with an optical trackpad that will be aiding in the user friendliness. It will, however, lack in the full QWERTY keyboard option, which has so far been the signature effect of BlackBerry phones over the years. Like many of the recently launched BlackBerry models, it is also expected to come with extra memory card support of up to 32 GB. This feature is going to be extremely important given the fact that the Blackberry Curve Touch will be focusing more on the entertainment aspect of things, which will be requiring a lot of memory.

Since the memory aspect of the phone has been taken care of brilliantly, BlackBerry seems to have shifted its attention into providing the entertainment features itself to the phone. It will be coming in the form of a five megapixel camera that is going to be coming with LED flash and 720 p video recording option. These are some of the essential multimedia options that are available in the high-end phones today and they will be making an appearance in the Blackberry Curve Touch. The Blackberry Curve Touch will not be coming with a secondary camera, which is a disappointment considering that the Blackberry Curve Touch has all the connectivity features that you can wish for. They will be including the likes of the 3G, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth. Even the micro-USB option is also present in the phone. The Blackberry Curve Touch is expected to be run using an 800 MHz processor.

This processor will be taking care of the operating system that is the BlackBerry OS 6.1, which is available in a number of different BlackBerry phones of late. The exact launch date of the Blackberry Curve Touch is not known yet.
