Samsung Galaxy Gio is a Delightful Affordable Android Phone

The Samsung Galaxy series of Android smartphones has been so popular that the company has been keen to bring it into the mid-range for more people to enjoy. They set out to achieve this by introducing four new affordable Galaxy handsets including the Gio, Ace, Mini and Fit that will take the best elements of cutting edge devices such as the Galaxy S and make them more attainable to the everyday phone user.

The Galaxy Gio is one of these handsets and is a nice little Android smartphone that doesn't scrimp on any of the important features that you would expect from a contemporary smartphone. Running on Android Froyo and TouchWiz the Gio comes with an excellent array of features including social networking support, threaded SMS and all of the great games and apps available from Android Market.

The Gio is a petite touchscreen phone with its screen measuring 3.2". The phone's internal memory is rather low at 158MB which is why you will need additional microSD cards to store a good amount of personal content. Luckily Samsung has included a 2GB microSD card with the phone and the Galaxy Gio can support microSD cards up to 32GB in size.
