‘Free Sounds of Summer’ on Sundays in Carrickfergus

Take some time out this summer to relax and enjoy a series of free open-air band performances at two stunning locations in Carrickfergus.

The summer concert programme, presented by Mid & East Antrim Borough Council, begins on Sunday 7 July at Castle Green where East Antrim Seniors Accordion will play to members of the public. They will also be performing in the Marine Gardens on Sunday 4 August.

CWA Brass Band will play on Sunday 21 July and on Sunday 18 August at the Marine Gardens.

Third Carrickfergus Silver Band will perform on Sunday 28 July and Sunday 11 August at the Castle Green.

These concerts are suitable for all ages and will take place throughout July and August from 3pm-4pm. Seating will also be provided at both venues.

Attendees can bring a picnic and/or blankets. The Clock Tower Café in Marine Gardens will also be open to purchase refreshments. Free car parking is available on Sundays at Castle Car Park, Joymount and Marine Gardens, Carrickfergus.

In the event of wet weather, all concerts will take place in the DeCourcy Centre, Carrickfergus and the situation will be reviewed each Sunday regarding weather.
