One week to go until #Here2Help roadshow

A number of courageous people are set to share their story of drug and alcohol misuse and mental health issues at the #Here2Help roadshow in Ballymena next week.

The running order for the day includes talks from Health Minister, Robin Swann, the Mayor of Mid and East Antrim Borough Council, members of the PSNI and clergymen.

The event, which has been organised by Council, the PSNI, PHA and local community groups, is aimed at tackling the misuse of drugs.

Chief Executive of Mid and East Antrim Borough Council, Anne Donaghy, will also address those who attend on the work that Council have been doing in order to tackle drug abuse.

Following a number of tragic events over the recent months a number of Council motions were raised by elected members.

Mid and East Antrim Borough Council alongside their Community Planning partners agreed to support any initiative that would help raise awareness of these issues which have had a devastating impact on families and our communities as a whole.

The #Here2Help roadshow will take place on Wednesday 12 February at 10am in Ballymena North Business and Recreation Centre on the Cushendall Road.

The event is OPEN to everyone and is free to attend.

The roadshow will also see the launch in this borough of the #Here2Help Smartphone App.
