UPDATE: Man arrested following RTC in Liverpool city centre

Update: Officers have arrested a 38 year old man on suspicion of Section 18 Wounding following a road traffic collision on Monday 21st January.

We were called to reports of a collision between a motorbike and a car at the junction of Hanover Street and Bold Street in Liverpool city centre at around 2.20pm.

The car, a dark coloured Ford Focus, failed to stop at the scene and following further enquiries, a 38 year old man, believed to be the driver was located a few hours later in the Liverpool area. He was arrested and taken to custody for questioning and has since been released pending further investigation.

The motorcyclist, who suffered a fractured leg, underwent surgery for treatment to his injuries and remains in hospital.
