CCTV appeal following burglary at pensioner's home in Clubmoor

We have issued CCTV images of a man we would like to speak to following a burglary at the house of a vulnerable pensioner in Clubmoor.

Between 4.20pm and 5.25pm on Saturday 16th March offenders entered a house in Byng Road and stole a television, cash, and war medals.

We believe the man pictured has information which could assist with our investigation.

Anyone who recognises the man is asked to DM @MerPolCC, call 101 or contact Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111 quoting reference 19100114651.

Detective Inspector Judith Blease said: “Everybody has a right to feel safe in their own home and we recognise and understand the huge impact that burglaries have on our local communities.

“Burglars think nothing of taking items of great financial and sentimental value to their owners, by breaking into homes they violate the place where people have every right to feel most safe.

“That is why we launched Operation Castle, our targeted operation to prevent burglaries and put offenders before the courts.”

If you have information about burglaries in your area or where stolen items are being stored call 0151 777 7926 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
