Five people arrested on suspicion of drug supply in Kirkby

Five people have been arrested on suspicion of drug supply after a warrant was executed at a property in Kirkby yesterday, Wednesday 28^th August.

Officers attended at the property on Shakespeare Avenue at just after 9am.

A 20 year-old woman and a 17 year-old woman together with a 21 year-old man, a 25 year-man and a 29 year-old man were all arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply Class A and Class B drugs.

During a search of the property large quantities of white powder and a small amount of green vegetable matter were discovered together with scales, packets of white bags, a lock knife, a number of mobile phones and a quantity of bank notes.

All five have been released under investigation to allow further enquiries to be carried out.
