Four people arrested following drugs warrant in Liverpool

Merseyside Police have arrested four people on suspicion of possession with intent to supply Class A and B drugs.

A warrant was executed at an address on Ruskin Street, Liverpool yesterday evening (24th January).

Following a search of the residential property, around 20 kilos of white powder alongside other Class A & B drugs were seized and three men, aged 23, 29 and 54 and a 57 year old woman were arrested and taken to custody for questioning.

Detective Inspector Phil Mahon said: “Having, supplying and taking drugs is extremely dangerous and can have both health and criminal consequences.

“If you know someone who is dealing or taking drugs then please let us know so we can take appropriate action.

“No one can predict the outcome of taking drugs. Recently, we have seen a number of young people sadly suffering the ultimate consequence because they just don’t know the seriousness of their actions.

“Drug dealers often only think of themselves and their financial gain, not thinking of the ripple effects these substances have on the users themselves and their families and friends.

“We want Merseyside to be a safe and secure county. Report those supplying drugs and help those taking drugs have a fresh and productive start with a drug-free future.”
