Man arrested and drugs, cash and a knife recovered - Roughwood Drive, Kirkby
We have arrested a man and recovered a quantity of drugs and cash following an incident in Kirkby on Saturday, 24 August.
At around 10.10am, a man made off from officers on seeing a police patrol in Roughwood Drive and he was detained a short time later, becoming aggressive and assaulting an officer. Once detained he was searched and a knife, class B drugs and a number of mobile phones were seized.
Following the subsequent search of a property in Roughwood Drive, a quantity of suspected class A and B drugs and a significant quantity of cash was recovered.
A 35-year-old man from Netherton was arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply class A and B drugs, possession of a bladed article, assault police and obstructing an officer. He has since been released under investigation as enquiries continue.
