Police launch an investigation into an assault in Birkenhead this afternoon

An investigation is underway following an assault on Bright Street, Birkenhead, shortly before 3pm this afternoon (Monday, 14 January). Detectives are currently at the scene and we are appealing to anyone with information to DM @MerpolCC, call 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111, quoting log 0565 of 14 January 2019.
