Two people charged with murder following incident on Prescot Road, Old Swan

Merseyside Police has charged a 38-year-old man and a 33-year-old woman following the death of a 57-year-old man at a supported living residential premises on Prescot Road, Old Swan, on 3 January, 2019.


 The ambulance service attended at the address following a report that David Capseed, a resident at the premises, had collapsed at about 4.30pm.

The man was taken to hospital where he died a short time later.

The man appeared to have suffered injuries to his head and police were informed and an investigation was started to establish the circumstances surrounding his death.

A Home Office post mortem has taken place and concluded that he died as a result of blunt force head, neck and chest injuries with severe ischemic heart disease.


The man's next of kin have been informed and are being supported by specialist Family Liaison Officers.

  • Michael McConville, 38 years, of Prescot Road, Old Swan, and Lynsey Wilson, 33, of Sheil Road, Kensington, have both been charged with murder and will appear at Liverpool Magistrates Court today (Monday, 7 January 2019).
