Appeal after woman seriously injured in Islington collision

Police are appealing for witnesses and information after a woman was seriously injured following a collision in Islington.

At approximately 15:00hrs on Thursday, 16 May a pedestrian, aged in her 30s, was involved in a collision with a BMW car as she crossed Pentonville Road, at the junction with Kings Cross Road, WC1.

Emergency services attended the scene and the woman was taken to hospital where she remains in a critical condition.

Enquiries are ongoing to locate and inform her next of kin.

The driver of the car stopped at the scene; they have not been arrested and are assisting police with enquiries.

Anyone who witnessed the collision, or any road users with footage, are asked to call 101 or ‘X’ @MetCC and quote CAD4578/16May.
