Four charged with alleged transphobic hate crime

Detectives investigating an alleged transphobic assault in Harrow have charged four people with assault.

Summer Betts-Ramsey, 19 (06.09.04) was arrested on Sunday, 11 February and charged with attempted murder and possession of an offensive weapon. She will next appear at the Old Bailey on Tuesday, 12 March.

A 16-year-old girl [B] was arrested on Wednesday, 28 February and charged with grievous bodily harm with intent, robbery and possession of cannabis. She will also appear at the Old Bailey tomorrow.

On Thursday, 7 March, a 17-year-old boy [C] was charged with grievous bodily harm with intent, disclosing sexual images and threatening the victim with a knife in a private place.

A second 17-year-old boy [D] was charged on Friday, 8 March with grievous bodily harm with intent.

Both were remanded and will appear at the Old Bailey on Friday, 5 April.

The charges relate to an assault on Masons Avenue, HA3 which left an 18-year-old girl with stab wounds. She has since been discharged from hospital.
