Officer charged with sexual offences

A Met officer will appear in court charged with a number of sexual offences.

PC Kane McKnight, attached to North Area command unit, was charged on Friday, 31 October with:

-Engaging in controlling/coercive behaviour

-Attempting to sexually assault a female by penetration

-Attempting to/attempted voyeurism

-Four counts of assault of a female by penetration

The offences relate to one victim and are alleged to have occurred between 2013 and 2022.

He will appear at Westminster Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday, 23 December.

PC McKnight was arrested in May 2022 and has been suspended since July 2023. Prior to his suspension he was on restricted duties.
