Police appeal after teenager killed in Enfield collision
Police are appealing for witnesses after a teenager was killed and three other people injured in a crash in Enfield.
Around 23:40hrs on Thursday, 6 November, officers attended Ferny Hill, Enfield, with the London Ambulance Service, after a car and a van collided.
Four people - three teenage boys in the car and the van driver, a man aged in his 40s - were taken to hospital.
One of the boys died in hospital on Saturday, 8 November. His family are being supported by specially-trained officers.
A second boy suffered life-changing injuries. He has since been discharged from hospital. The injuries of the third boy and the van driver were assessed as non-life-changing and non-life-threatening.
No arrests have been made, and officers are making enquiries.
Detective Constable Pauline Redmond, from the Serious Collision Investigation Unit, said: “This was a serious collision, which resulted in the death of an 18-year-old boy.
“The Met is launching an investigation in order to establish exactly what happened, and hopefully bring a measure of comfort to the victim’s family, his friends and the survivors.
“As part of this, we are appealing for anyone who was in the area on the night of the incident to come forward.”
