Police investigate death of man in Croydon

An investigation has been launched following the death of a man in Croydon.

Police were called at 18:02hrs on Friday, 12 April by the London Ambulance Service to reports of a man suffering a stab injury in Fellmongers Yard, Croydon.

Officers, London Ambulance Service and London’s Air Ambulance all attended the scene.

The victim – believed to be aged in his 20s – was pronounced dead at the scene.

A crime scene remains in place.

One man has been arrested in connection with the incident and taken into police custody.

Officers remain in the area carrying out urgent enquiries. Local people with information and concerns are urged to speak with those officers.
