Second man charged with murder of Jack Hague in Tower Hamlets

A second man has been charged by officers investigating the murder of Jack Hague in Tower Hamlets.

Umair Rafiq, 35 (21.12.88) of no fixed address was arrested on Sunday, 12 May, He will appear in custody at Croydon Magistrates' Court on Monday, 13 May, charged with Jack’s murder.

Mr Hague's family have been informed.

Previously, Mohammed Ikram Uddin, 24 (27.08.99), of no fixed address, was charged on Friday, 10 May, with murder. He will next appear in custody at the Old Bailey on Tuesday, 14 May.

A murder investigation was launched after police were called at about 20:20hrs on Sunday, 5 May to reports of a fight on Corfield Street, E2.

Officers attended and found a man with a stab injury. Despite the efforts of officers and paramedics from the London Ambulance Service, 38-year-old Jack sadly died at the scene.

His family continue to be supported by specially trained officers.
