Two men convicted of murder following a Met Police investigation

Two men have been convicted of murder following a Metropolitan Police investigation. Ben Laing, 23 (22.05.00), of De Brome Road, Feltham and Duarra Abdi, 19 (27.02.04), of Western Avenue, Acton were both convicted of murder, following the fatal stabbing of Tyreece Scott in Hounslow, west London, last year.

Man jailed for sexual assault and rape of woman in Lewisham

A thorough investigation by the Met sexual offences team has seen a man who took advantage of a young woman after a night out in south-east London jailed.  Craig Dorney, 35 (22.01.89) of Duncombe Hill, Lewisham, was sentenced at Woolwich Crown Court to seven years in prison on Thursday, 12 December for rape and two counts of sexual assault.

Two men sentenced to total of 44 years for attack on brothers in Croydon

Two men have been sentenced to a total of 44 years for murdering a man and seriously injuring his brother. Shane Canavan, 23 and his half-brother Joshua Langley, 29, both of Greyfields Close, Purley, were sentenced to life with a minimum of 23 years and 21 years in prison respectively for murdering 20-year-old Bradley Hutchins and seriously injuring his 19-year-old brother Calum.

Man sentenced for multiple sexual offences against teenage girl

Met detectives have brought a historic case to justice by seeing a man jailed for committing multiple sexual offences against a teenage girl almost 30 years ago. Colin Moore, 58 (04.06.66) of Grove Lane, Southwark was sentenced to 15 years in prison for four of rape and five of indecent assault against the same girl, now aged 41.

Enfield organised crime group jailed for trafficking vulnerable individuals into the UK for Modern Slavery

Three individuals sentenced to a twenty six years total in prison for involvement in human trafficking, forced labour and money laundering in Enfield thanks to work by dedicated Met detectives. In Jan 2019, an investigation began to uncover exploitation of vulnerable men and women. This group targeted vulnerable individuals from the Czech Republic, exploiting them for financial gains.
