Detectives investigating an allegation of rape in Hackney are releasing an e-fit image of a man they need to identify. The incident happened between 16:00hrs and 17:00hrs on Wednesday, 2 October 2024 at Banister House in Homerton High Street. It is alleged that a man forced a 13-year-old girl to get into his car and took her to a block of flats where he raped her.

A thorough investigation by the Met sexual offences team has seen a man who took advantage of a young woman after a night out in south-east London jailed.  Craig Dorney, 35 (22.01.89) of Duncombe Hill, Lewisham, was sentenced at Woolwich Crown Court to seven years in prison on Thursday, 12 December for rape and two counts of sexual assault.
