Christmas and New Year arrangements 2019/20
All council offices closed:

Emergency council service
Over the holiday period the emergency out-of-hours service will operate as normal on 03457 565656 for all council services, including matters of child protection.

Refuse and recycling
Household collections of residual waste (green bin) will continue three-weekly, with household collections of garden/food waste (brown bin) and recycling containers continuing fortnightly, over the festive period, as shown on your collection calendar. The exception to these collections is those which would be undertaken on 25 and 26 December, and 1 and 2 January. Revised dates are set out below.
Collections may be carried out earlier than normal, containers should be presented at their usual collection point for 7.30am.

Libraries
24 December: Buckie, Elgin, Forres and Keith libraries will close at 3pm
Dufftown library will be open between 10am and noon
Lossiemouth library will be open between 10am and 1pm
Aberlour, Burghead, Cullen, Fochabers and Tomintoul libraries will be closed.
Normal opening hours: Friday 27, Saturday 28 and Monday 30 December, and Friday 3 and Saturday 4 January.

The mobile library service will not operate from Monday 23 December to Friday 3 January inclusive.

Crisis grants under the Scottish Welfare Fund offers a service on Friday 27, Monday 30 and Tuesday 31 December.

Care at home service
Care at home will operate: Tuesday 24 December 8.45am – 3pm

Existing care at home users will be provided with their normal level of service on 25 and 26 December, and 1 and 2 January.
