NEW APP TO BRING IN QUICK CASH
musicMagpie.co.uk, the UK's most popular “CASH for CD, DVD and Games” website, has launched a free iPhone app, which turns their iPhone into a money making machine. It’s now even easier for customers, to sell their unwanted entertainment products and over 70,000 people have already downloaded the app.
Users scan in the barcodes of their unwanted items using their iPhone’s camera and musicMagpie uses its proprietary “valuation engine” to provide an instant offer price, allowing the user to complete the transaction and earn extra money all from their iPhone.
Eren Ozagir, Commercial and Marketing Director of musicMagpie.co.uk, says: “We turned people’s web cams into barcode scanners, so it only made sense for us to do the same with iPhones. An estimated 95% of all CDs, DVDs and games in the UK are not used on a regular basis and this is another really easy way to clear some space around the home and make a little extra money. Our app is free to download and as always with musicMagpie.co.uk the service is free for customers to use.”
The app also allows customers to monitor the progress of their orders on the go and tells them when they have been sent payment for their items.
Eren continued: "We are committed to investing in the technology that benefits our customers and will continue to develop new versions of the app, but we are also planning to launch an Android version in the very near future."
