Community Networking Breakfast is Key to Building Partnerships

ng homes Community Networking Breakfast programme continues to increase in numbers with over 70 attending the latest event which was held at Possilpark Parish Church.

One of the elements of the programme is ‘Speakers Corner’ and this month it was Peter Lavelle and Eileen Ham from Glasgow Wood recycling.  This was followed by Emma Black and Stuart Miller from Meal Makers.

Participants have provided strong examples of partnership working. One example is that of Fire Scotland who have connected with Ronier Deumeni from African Challenge, Satya Dunning from RNIB and Michael Kam from ng homes.

Archie Curran, Station Commander at Fire Scotland, said “The networking breakfast programme has been excellent in building partnerships with a diverse range of people. We are pleased to have made contact with members of the African and Chinese community and this will support us in our efforts in fire prevention through carrying out Home Safety Checks. I would highly recommend this programme”.

ng homes Board Member Richard Porter attending the community networking event said: We are delighted to see these networking events grow each time and its great to see so many new connections being made and partnerships being formed.”
