About the Fellowship of Postgraduate Medicine:

The Fellowship of Postgraduate Medicine came into being through the amalgamation of two organizations: the Fellowship of Medicine and the Postgraduate Medical Association. It was originally founded to meet the increased demand for training in civilian medicine that followed the end of the Great War (1914-18). The Fellowship has always been independent of government and the academic world. It had a pioneering role in coordinating and inspiring the development of postgraduate medical education in London and throughout the United Kingdom. The Fellowship remains active in supporting postgraduate medical education and research through its two journals, Postgraduate Medical Journal and Health Policy and Technology, and through holding and supporting conferences, webinars, workshops, debates and related activities.
