Aftermath of Movember
The month of participating in the ‘grow a mo, save a bro’ challenge has come to an end. This is the moment you have been waiting for, the moment when your face can finally breathe, when you don’t have to worry about pieces of food being collected in your facial hair. This shave is the equivalent of your first hot shower after a weekend living the festival life, this shave is EVERYTHING.
The technique, the preparation and the aftercare can all make huge difference to this small area of your face. That’s why we have created top tips below to really help you out!
Top 5 Tips for THE shave:
1. Decide on your style - are you completely saying goodbye to your moustache/beard, or perhaps just trimming it down to create a more designer and bespoke look? The options are endless, chinstrap, goat patch or all over clean shaven – just make sure you decide before you start to avoid any hairy mishaps. Why not put some classical music on in the background, to relax you?
2. Preparation- use a facial cleanser that contains an exfoliator to properly prepare your skin for THE shave, this opens up the pores and eradicates dead skin cells. If you really want to go all out, then use a hot towel and rest it on your face for a few minutes to make the skin even softer.
3. It’s time to shave - The Panasonic ES-LT2N shaver with its 3D head, and shaver sense technology ensures the shaver moves with you, gliding and sliding seamlessly whilst it cuts those little hairs away. Confront sensitive areas first, as the shaver will heat up and so shaving delicate areas works best with a cool shaver. Normally, it is best to start with the neck and move up, one small step at a time.
4. Aftercare - the shave is now complete. That doesn’t mean your shaving experience has finished. To guarantee baby soft skin use an after-shave balm containing Aloe Vera or vitamin E, just make sure these products are alcohol free otherwise all your hard work will be ruined by a hot burning sensation!
5. Own it - This long anticipated moment is worthy of some attention, so make sure you stand tall, smile and ensure everyone notices how fresh you are with your new (less hairy) look! You may want to upload a selfie on to social media, including a link to Movember so people know where to donate, if they still want too!
