Panasonic announces its new range of fridge freezers for optimum food quality and maximum storage

Panasonic today announces the expansion of its European range of fridge freezers. The BN-Series 2-Door fridge freezers feature Panasonic’s HygieneAir, Fresh Case, Chiller Case and Flash Freeze technology to maintain freshness in food. Available in Stainless Steel (NR-BN31AS1) and white (NR-BN31AW1), the BN-Series 2-Door Fridge Freezers are also designed with FlexLift and Slide’N’Store compartments for maximum storage space.

Fresher food, lower wastage

Panasonic’s 2013 fridge freezer range features technologies that ensure food stays fresher for longer. With the air inside conventional fridges often too dry for storing fruit and vegetables, the range’s built-in Fresh Case compartment has an integrated moisture regulator which prevents food from drying out, locking in essential vitamins and nutrients. In addition, the Chiller case maintains a temperature close to 0˚C, creating the optimum environment to ensure freshness when storing meat and fish. Finally, the HygieneAir antibacterial filter circulates cold, clean air from three points throughout the fridge, creating a constant airflow and producing a 99.9 percent disinfectant rate.

The new NR-BN31AS1 and NR-BN31AW1 fridge freezers also feature a Flash Freeze drawer, which drops the temperature to below -30˚C for faster freezing. The quick-freeze process minimises the loss of vitamins, nutrients and flavours, as well as the structure and form of food. In addition to maximising food quality, the Flash Freeze feature also minimises loss of weight in food during defrosting.

Flexible storage options

The BN-Series 2-Door fridge freezers have been adapted to enable maximum storage. The FlexLift feature presents multi-level sliders to allow different shelf heights within the fridge door for easy storage of items, regardless of their size or shape. Furthermore, Slide’N’Store safety glass shelves are easily removable and are designed to hold up to 22kg in weight.

“The innovative technology incorporated into our latest range marks the next generation of fridge-freezers” said Maik Stahlbock, Director of Appliances Group for Panasonic. “The features incorporated to maintain the freshness of food, and improve the storage options are representative of Panasonic’s continued determination to meet the needs of our customers, offering quality in both the design and technical requirements.”

Energy efficiency as standard

Panasonic’s new range of fridge freezers achieves the coveted energy efficiency standard rating of A++.
