Panasonic introduces seven models to its new VB5 and VC5 washing machine ranges

Panasonic today announced the addition of seven new washing machines to its VB5 and VC5 ranges (see below for full table of models). The latest VB5 and VC5 washing machines demonstrate Panasonic’s on-going commitment to accessible design, intelligent performance, and environmental efficiency.

Maik Stahlbock, Director of Appliances Group for Panasonic, said, “The VB5 and VC5 ranges are ideal for those looking for outstanding features when choosing an affordable washing machine. Panasonic has introduced a number of cutting-edge innovations across the two ranges, including easy-to-use LCD displays, an all-new drum and silent arch exterior design. All our washing machines are designed to provide the very best performance, efficiency and ease of use.”

Smart settings and intelligent design

Featuring a variety of washing capacities (7kg or 8kg) and several spin speeds (1,000, 1,200 or 1400 rpm), the VB5 and VC5 series incorporate a whole host of new design features.

All four appliances in the VB5 range feature an easy-to-use LCD touch display. A combination of the touch display and a minimalist dial provide practical navigation and simple selection of the most appropriate settings. The user interface also provides a clear summary of the chosen settings - including spin speed, temperature and remaining wash time - so you can see the exact status of the current wash.

The VB5 range provides an array of programmes to best suit your particular lifestyle. Whether you’re preparing for a week at work, tackling your dirty sports kit or in a rush to clean your favourite outfit, the VB5 has a programme to ensure great results with every wash. From ‘Easy Ironing’, ‘Extra Rise’ and ‘Eco / Speed’ modes, to ‘Sportswear’ and ‘Shirts’, there are relevant programmes and options for all washing requirements.

The VB5 and VC5 series also incorporate an intelligent ‘Foam sensor’ designed to detect when too much detergent has been added. The machine subsequently adds extra water to dilute to the correct level, making sure the washing cycle is as efficient and effective as possible.

Energy savings as standard

The specific ‘Eco’ setting (available across the whole VB5 Series, as well as the NA-147VC5 and NA-127VC5) optimises the washing machine settings for increased efficiency. An ‘Auto load sensor’ also detects load weight and reduces water and power consumption as necessary. These features all contribute towards a coveted energy efficiency standard rating of A+++ (the VC5 Series achieves A++ standard).

Highest quality wash, highest quality care

The VB5 series also features a new drum design, providing the very best wash quality and garment care. Hundreds of dimples have been incorporated into the drum itself. These dimples result in greater water movement within the washing machine, protecting clothes and offering a more thorough wash than ever before.

Furthermore, working in conjunction with the new drum, Panasonic’s powerful HydroActive system injects two strong water jets into the drum during the wash cycle, ensuring faster water penetration and cleaner results. The HydroActive system is also used during rinsing, both speeding-up the process and saving time, water and energy.

A quiet and easy washing cycle

Panasonic’s designers have incorporated innovative elements into the VB5 and VC5 washing machines, designed with the user in mind. The silent arch design on the exterior of the machine significantly reduces noise and vibrations during use, ensuring a quiet cycle.
