Mozilla Festival - Changing the Web, and quite possibly the World

Next weekend we're heading to the Mozilla Festivalas a Human API partner and we just thought we'd share with you some of the bits we're most looking forward to.

The event is all about reinvention, creation and generally mixing things up. There'll be a lot of different people there, from journalists to programmers; gamers to activists, and its open for anyone looking for an active weekend or who wants to get their creative juices flowing.

There'll be show-and-tells, design challenges and key note speakers (like cartoonist Tim Hunkin and filmmaker Kat Cizek). We can't wait for the "How do we know who to trust" event that talks about trust in relation to breaking news sources. It's pretty relevant in light of the recent events in Libya, the Arab Spring, and the way that news often seems to be whispered as twitter rumours before it's verified by the news organisations.

Other events we'll be keeping a close eye on are:

Data-driven journalism.

Hyperaudo magic.

Talks from Apps for Good, Teens in Tech and Wired UK.

If you like the sound of all this and you want to get involved and haven't registered yet then head to this page.

(And come and say hi to us if you go along).
