Compact AC charging cables – reduced to the essentials

The new Charx connect eco charging cable family from Phoenix Contact focuses on the safe charging of electric vehicles. Additional features have therefore been deliberately omitted.

The new mode 3 charging cables impress with their extremely compact dimensions, reduced use of materials, and lighter weight. As a result, they not only conserve resources, but are also easy to handle and available at an attractive price point. Nevertheless, they offer Phoenix Contact’s usual high standard of quality combined with a solid feel. For the market launch, the charging cables are available in the type 2 charging standard in the usual four performance classes ranging from 3.7 to 22 kW – as a mobile version that is kept in the electric car and with a free cable end for fixed connection to the charging station or home charger.

Charx connect eco meets the high quality and process requirements of automobile manufacturers in accordance with IATF 16949. Safe outdoor use is also ensured by a sealing concept that reliably protects the charging connector and cable against water ingress in accordance with IP67. Upon request, the charging connector is available with customer logo, matching the branding of vehicles or charging stations.

In addition to the new Charx connect eco family, the well-known Charx connect comfort design charging cables, which have won three awards, are still available. In comparison, they offer a more ergonomic design, more comfortable handling, and more options for customisation.
