A Closer Look At Camera Features Of The HTC One X

The popular Taiwanese smartphone manufacturer HTC has recently released its latest flagship Android smartphone.  The HTC One X is already proving to be a popular device thanks to its versatility and powerful features.  In this article, I am going to take closer look at its camera feature, as this is one of the most important aspects of a smartphone to many people when choosing their next handset.

The HTC One X boasts an 8 mega pixel camera, which is about average for most smartphones released over the last year or so.  Like any other recent smartphones, it comes packed with features which make it easy to take high quality still images and capture video footage as well.

When using this camera to capture still images, its resolution of 3264x 2448 ensures that photos have high levels of detail and clarity.  This camera also boasts the most advanced lens to date of any HTC camera.  This allows each pixel to capture more light, so the resulting still images appear with better detail and clarity than ever before.

Like many other high end smartphones, the camera feature of the HTC One X comes with a software package of image enhancing features.  These include all the usual ones such as autofocus, image stabilisation, touch focus, face & smile detection and an LED flash.  These make it easy to get the results you want with the minimum effort, especially as settings like focus and flash settings can be set to automatic, taking the guesswork out of getting the best results.  The camera interface provides instant access to settings menus where you can toggle these on/off.

Of course, the camera on the HTC One X can also be used to capture video footage as well as still images.  High definition video footage can be captured in resolutions of 720p and 1080p, although there are also several other resolution settings included.  The lower resolutions can be used by those who wish to save battery or internal storage.  There are also settings which are optimised of those who intend to upload their videos to sites like Facebook or YouTube, or send file formats such as MMS or attach them to emails.  Like the still photo feature, there are several changeable flash and focus settings which can be used to enhance the quality of video footage.

Because the HTC One X runs the Android operating system, users are able to access the Google Play Store, where there are hundreds of photography apps which can greatly enhance the functionality of the camera feature on the HTC One X.
