Benchmark Test Reveals Power Of The Sony Xperia Z Ultra
The Sony Xperia Z remains one of the most popular Android smartphone models on the market, and among the most high profile releases of the year so far. While Sony is continuing to see success with its flagship device, the last few months have seen several rumours that the company is planning to release its first phablet smartphone.
With the ongoing success of devices like the Samsung Galaxy Note
2 in the phablet niche, Sony is expected to launch a new device called the Sony
Xperia Z Ultra in the near future. It is expected that the device will be
unveiled in Germany, at a launch event on the 25th of June. The phone is
expected to include key features like a 6.44 inch touchscreen display, 2 GB of
RAM, 8 megapixel camera, 3000mAh battery and Android Jellybean OS. The
processor of choice for the handset is rumoured to be Qualcomm’s powerful new Snapdragon
800 chipset. This processor is also believed to be used and other upcoming
phablets like the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 and HTC One Max. Contracts for the Sony XperiaZ can be compared here.
Phones Review has recently reported on a benchmark test
carried out on the Sony Xperia Z Ultra. The results revealed that it will
indeed utilise a Snapdragon 800 processor. Impressively, the results also show
that the device achieved a higher score than the Samsung Galaxy S4. In numerous
previous benchmark tests, Samsung's flagship device has proven to be most
powerful smartphone on the market, so we can expect the Sony Xperia Z Ultra to
be a very powerful smartphone indeed. Latest Sony Xperia Z Ultra news here.
Of course, ample levels of processing power will be required by such a large high resolution touchscreen, but the processor is likely to see the handset offer outstanding performance across the entirety of its spec list.
While the phablet niche is becoming increasingly competitive, early information certainly suggests that the Sony Xperia Z Ultra has what it takes to be a key player. Do you think the phone will have what it takes to make its mark in the phablet niche? Leave a comment to let us know what you think.
