Nokia Lumia 920 Picks Up More Awards For Its Innovative Design

Nokia has been enjoying a steady increase in popularity in recent months, thanks to the popularity of its Windows Phone powered Lumia devices. Phones like the Nokia Lumia 920 have been some of the biggest success stories for the manufacturer in recent years, resulting in an increase in the Finnish manufacturer's market share after a widely publicised period of losing much its market share to rival manufacturers like Apple and Samsung.

The Lumia 920 hit the market back in 2012, and clocked up millions of sales along with receiving plenty of positive reviews and positive feedback from users. The device was also largely responsible for the increasing popularity of the Windows Phone 8 operating system, making it one of the biggest rivals to more established smartphone platforms like Apple's iOS or the Google owned Android operating system.

The Lumia 920 offers plenty of impressive features, as do other handsets in the series like the Lumia 820 and Lumia 620. Additionally, all of these smartphones boast some of the most innovative design on the market, thanks to the eye catching styling and numerous colour options. NokiaPowerUser has recently reported that Nokia has won a number of awards that the international design excellence awards (IDEA). To find out more about the Nokia Lumia 920, visit our website. The impressive design of the Nokia Lumia 920, along with the mid range Lumia 820 and entry level Lumia 620 saw Nokia awarded gold in the communication tools category. In the same category, Nokia also won bronze for the Nokia 206. Nokia was also awarded another gold for its colour and materials design strategy.

This is not the first time that Nokia has won awards for the design of its smartphones. The website reports that the IDEA judges were particularly impressed by Nokia's character-rich brand identity and attention to detail, and particularly praised the company’s use of colour in a market which continues to be dominated by smartphones in black, grey and white colour variants.

We expect that Nokia's recently launched Lumia 925 flagship model will also win design awards, as it continues the same design language as the Lumia 920, but with the use of more premium materials like an aluminium frame, making it arguably Nokia's best looking smartphone to date.
