Picasa Image Hints At 13MP Camera For The Samsung Galaxy Note 3

The Samsung Galaxy Note 2 remains one of the most highly regarded smartphones on the market. The handset continues to dominate the phablet niche, and has clocked up millions of sales and widespread critical acclaim since it was launched back in September 2012.

In recent months though, there has been mounting speculation about the phone’s follow up, the Galaxy Note 3. Rumours about its potential features are widespread, with suggestions that the handset will incorporate an aluminium casing, 6 inch display, Snapdragon 800 chipset and 13 megapixel camera.

Earlier this week, a photo was posted on Picasa, which uSwitch reports may have been taken using the Galaxy Note 3 handset.

The website reports that the photo’s accompanying EXIF data shows that the camera used to take the picture shows a model number of SM-N900, which is believed to be the model number of the Galaxy Note 3. Additionally, it also shows that the camera has a resolution of 13 megapixels.

A 13 megapixel camera has long been one of the most widely suggested features of the Galaxy Note 3. It certainly makes sense for the phone to incorporate this camera resolution as it is the same as that found on the Galaxy S4. Additionally, the Galaxy S3 and the Galaxy Note 2 both have 8 megapixel cameras, so it seems more than likely that the Galaxy Note 3 will indeed utilise a 13 megapixel rear facing camera. It is believed that the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 will debut in Berlin this September at the IFA expo. In previous years, both the original Galaxy Note and the Galaxy Note 2 were announced at this very event.
