Samsung Set To Launch The Galaxy Note 2 In October

With the Samsung Galaxy S3 hitting the headlines on account of its 20 million sales in three months, it is all too easy to overlook some of the other devices offered by the Korean manufacturer.  Its Galaxy Note is one of its most impressive devices currently on the market, and Samsung has recently announced a follow up device called the Galaxy Note 2.

This has recently been listed on a number of websites which have made it available for pre-order.  The SIM free handset is likely to cost £546.  At present, there are both Marble White and Titanium Grey versions available for pre-order, however only the 16 GB model can currently be pre-ordered.  32GB and 64GB models are also listed, however these are yet to receive a price tag, but it is expected that these too will be made available for pre-order very soon.

The Samsung Galaxy Note 2 will follow the model of its predecessor for the most part.  This of course means a huge screen.  The original Galaxy Note packs a whopping 5.3 inch touchscreen, and the Galaxy Note 2 is set to boast an even larger screen at 5.5 inches.  Like its predecessor, the Galaxy Note 2 will also come with an S-Pen, which is the perfect addition to a handset with such a large screen.  That has been reported that the S-Pen of the Galaxy Note 2 will offer enhanced usability thanks to increased responsiveness and precision.

Other key features of the Samsung Galaxy Note 2 will include an 8 megapixel camera with full high definition video capture, a 2 megapixel front facing camera and it will be one of the first Samsung devices to ship with the latest Android Jellybean OS pre-installed.  Naturally, this will run in conjunction with the latest version of the Samsung TouchWiz UI.  One of the most interesting features of this phone is its processor.  It is expected that the Galaxy Note 2 will pack a 1.6 GHz quad-core processor, which is more powerful than most smartphones which are currently on the market, including Samsung’s famous flagship, the Galaxy S3.
